the process, the consultant has identified several alternatives, as
far as routings. He stated that within the next two (2) weeks he
will have a draft on it. The draft Louisville will have is a
chance to review at a staff level and give the response back to the
consultant. There should be a final report for Council's
consideration in approximately 1 1/2 months and Council can select
the alternative that is best for Louisville.

Mayer:

In looking at the 1980 Master Plan I
was wondering, if you had any
preliminary ideas what the new
Master Plan might look like.

Urbonos explained that it will look very similar to what is shown
(pointing to an illustration). The alignments may change from what
was shown in the 1980 Master Plan. For instance, one of the
alignments east of the Treatment Plant to Coal Creek would be
joined by the Drainage Way 8 coming from the north, from the new
commercial development that was recently built, and connect into
it.. The other alignment they're looking at is east of the
Treatment Plant going to the northeast first and, then, coming
across to the northeast first, then back down along the original
Drainage Way 7 route just west of Lafayette. He stated that
primarily those are the two (2) primary alignments, with some small
variations as they approach the conclusion of what's best to
recommend to Council. There is one additional drainage, the
tributary drainage way .

Mayer:

Urbonos:

What about the tributary?

That's was not shown on the original
Master Plan. We're adding it,
because there is new development
that was an oversight at that time.
There is some new development
occurring that we're looking at with
greater detail than we did at that
time. There is definite need for
another drainage way to connect to
the creek.

Mayer:

If we have to give instructions to
the Mayor in terms of drainage here,
would we be able to do that?

Phare:

Without knowing the specific
alignments, which won't happen until
the revised Master Plan is adopted
and approved, the only thing I could
think of would be to agree, in
general concept, where those
easements or route may be and allot

10
