Cultural Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />20 August 2015 <br />Page 2 of 4 <br />Programming Reports: Angie's Lit — Beth Barrett unable to attend this <br />meeting. A handout describes the LCC's program coordinating with the library <br />for "On the Same Page ". Liz and Mark will support the LCC program along with <br />Angie, happening October 1st at the Arts Center. The subcommittee will work to <br />determine the possibility of performers opening the October 1st event. <br />2016 LCC Event Plan <br />In the next month, the 4 resident art groups will meet to negotiate the dates <br />to be reserved at the Louisville Arts Center for 2016. LCC will be reserving <br />dates for our own sponsored events and for potential grant events. In the <br />past LCC has had 35 — 40 dates. <br />2016 Plan: <br />• Summer Thursday night concerts at Community Park: 5 <br />At LAC: <br />• Friday Night Live: 2 Spring, 2 Fall. (2 events already booked for Fall <br />2015); <br />• Sunday Chamber Series: 2 Spring, 2 — 3 Fall (2 events booked <br />already for Fall 2015, 1 more desired for holiday) <br />• Lecture Series: 2 — 3 in the year <br />• Film Series: 2 Spring, 2 Fall <br />• Stories on Stage: 1 <br />• Grant dates (July — Dec 2016): 12ish - 3 full weekends + 2 — 3 nights <br />LCC Mission & Program Planning <br />Goal if re- writing the LCC Mission Statement is to codify mission statement and <br />have it represent what we're doing so that we provide clarity to future applicants <br />to LCC. <br />Review of existing information: <br />• 5/15 Meeting — LCC Functions for future: <br />1.
