Tall Grass on Hole #1: The homeowners adjoining the green on hole #1 were given
an update on their concern regarding the over -long grass by their property and
potential affect on their property valuations. It was agreed that there was a general
problem on the course where the native grass areas had grown much higher and
thicker that the design intended, mainly due to the excess rainfall in late spring. Joe
Stevens summarized the situation in a memo contained in the Board package and
which will be sent to the affected homeowners. The plan is to avoid any changes in
such areas until the course stabilizes and in the meantime, the concerns are noted
and will be addressed. Chris Bianco stated that the homeowners were prepared to
be patient as long as this issue would be taken care of in a reasonable amount of
time. The plan is to mow and bale these areas after Labor Day and then to control
PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT • 749 MAIN STREET • LOUISVILLE, CO 80027
(303) 335 -4735 FAX (303) 335 -4738
www.Iouisvil leco.gov
PARKS RECREATION SENIOR SERVICES OPEN SPACE FORESTRY TRAILS GOLF
