Call to order —Co -chair Neal Griggsmiller called the meeting to order at 7:06 pm. <br />II. Roll call —Board members present: Shelly Alm, Neal Griggsmiller, Mark Newland, Ellen <br />Toon, Beverlee White. Board members absent: Mike Frontczak, English Hopkins. Staff <br />member present: Dean Johnson. City Council member present: Susan Loo. <br />III. The agenda was approved by all members. <br />IV. The minutes from the August 6, 2015 meeting were approved. <br />V. Public comment on items not on the agenda —No public present. Susan gave an update on <br />Council's discussion about a potential new Parks board. A task force will be formed to <br />study the recreation/senior center /aquatic elements of the Parks & Recreation Department, <br />including a possible bond issue for renovation of the Louisville recreation center. Council <br />will vote on formation of a new Parks board on Tuesday, September 15. Other upcoming <br />City calendar items: A legal committee meeting about 501c3s on September 17; and <br />interviews for board vacancies on December 8 and 9. <br />VI. Study Session with City Council on Aug. 11— presentation was well received, and <br />emphasis on maintenance issues was reinforced by OSAB's comments following HFAB. <br />Many thanks to Mark for organizing and presenting the material.
