Mayer had a great concern about pick-up on LaFarge Street, because
it's easy for children to dart out into the road.

Bishop:

Crossing the street is something we
discourage, both for the pre-school
and the dance school. We would
encourage parents to travel north on
LaFarge, so that they're not
encouraging their children to cross
the street, and by using the back
lot, there's no street access there.
That's the whole reason for putting
in the rear door, to accommodate
that.

Lathrop had the same concern about picking up children on LaFarge.
He wondered, if it was possible, since this building occupies the
frontage on LaFarge for 100 feet, to have several spaces there by
the front walkway that would be restricted to very temporary
parking or a waiting zone.

Annette Brand, City Administrator, stated that it could be done, if
Council so desired.

Davidson called for any other Council comments.

NONE

Lathrop moved that Council approve the Special Use Review,
Resolution No. 18, Series 1993, including the five conditions of
the Planning Commission, and the provision that two temporary
parking or waiting zone spaces be provided on LaFarge Avenue
directly in front of the proposed use. Seconded by Hornbostel.

Mayer offered a friendly amendment to have the City staff review
the two temporary or waiting zone parking spaces to possibly
increase the number of spaces.

Sisk accepted that.
favor.

Seconder, Hornbostel, accepted that.

Ail in

Mayer felt that Council should be thinking this year about a
parking policy for any commercial conversions in downtown
Louisville. One concern he had was that as commercial buildings
keep coming up in residential areas, which this item is, how
parking will be handled.

RESOLUTION NO. 19, SERIES 1993 - AMENDMENT TO THE CHERRYWOOD II
FINAL PUD DEVELOPMENT PLAN - PROPOSED AMENDMENTMODIFIES PUD NOTES
#3 AND #5 WITH RESPECT TO FENCE SETBACKS FOR LOTS 1, 16, AND 85
