JUNE 29, 1993 <br /> <br />THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE <br /> <br /> SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Louisville met in special session <br />in the Council Chambers, 749 Main Street, Louisville, Colorado. <br />Mayor Davidson called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and the <br />following persons were present. <br /> <br />Council Members: <br /> <br />Kevin Howard, Rob Lathrop, Chuck <br />Sisk, Tom Mayer, Larry Hedding <br /> <br />Staff Present: <br /> <br />Annette Brand, City Administrator <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Susan Griffiths, City Attorney <br />Linda Salas, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />Margaret Hornbostel, Mayor Pro-Tem <br />(excused), Maj-Lis Kemper, City <br />Clerk (excused), William Hesson, <br />City Treasurer (excused) <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Davidson called for any changes to the Agenda.. <br /> <br />Griffiths stated that there are two requests for street closures <br />before Council. <br /> <br />Davidson put the street closures as Item B on the Agenda. <br /> <br />Davidson called for any other changes to the Agenda. <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />Davidson moved that Council approve the Agenda. <br />All in favor. <br /> <br />Seconded by Sisk. <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> <br />DISCUSSION/DIRECTION - (1) CONSIDER AN AMENDMENT TO RESOLUTION NO. <br />26, SERIES 1993, TO PERMIT THE SETTING OF A BALLOT TITLE AT THAT <br />MEETING FOR A PROPOSED INITIATED ORDINANCE FILED WITH THE CITY <br />CLERK, AND (2) FOR THE LOUISVILLE TITLE BOARD, COMPOSED OF THE CITY <br />COUNCIL AND THE CITY CLERK, TO MEET AND SET A BALLOT TITLE FOR THAT <br />INITIATED ORDINANCE IF RESOLUTION NO. 26 IS SO AMENDED <br /> <br />Susan Griffiths, City Attorney, stated that on Friday, June 11, <br />1993, the City Clerk received a draft initiative petition <br />containing a proposed ordinance to increase the city's sales and <br />use tax. On the following Tuesday, the City Council adopted <br />Resolution No. 26, which was to schedule a meeting of the Title <br />Board, which is required by state law, to set a title for any <br />initiated ordinance.
