CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT

NONE

COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS

Mayer stated that he and Howard had received a letter from Ms.
Shirley Elliot talking about some of the problems on Via Appia,
particularly the intersection of Lafayette Street and Via Appia.
He hoped it would be looked into as part of the ongoing traffic
studies.

Annette Brand, City Administrator, stated that it definitely had
not been forgotten about. From the traffic studies, there is no
justification for a light at that intersection. She stated that
the City needed to have a traffic engineer/consultant study it
further. Many intersections had been asked about and a report will
be forthcoming at a Work Session soon.

Hornbostel stated that the Impact Committee was supposed to be
scheduled tomorrow, but she hadn't gotten any notification that
there is a meeting then. She asked Brand to call and ask them to
schedule a Work Session with Louisville, because Hornbostel was
getting concerned about the time constraints coming up.

Brand agreed.

Davidson:

Susan (Griffiths), if Council was
going to put school impact fees on
the ballot, what's the timing by
which it has to be done by.

Susan Griffiths, City Attorney, stated that her understanding is
that, at minimum, the ballot content has to be certified by the
County Clerk 55 days before the election, which would be the first
part of September. If Council had to pass an ordinance, Council
would have two meetings to do that. She explained that Council
would be looking at acting, even on an emergency ordinance basis,
sometime in August. That would be the latest.

Davidson stated, if the School District wants Louisville to
consider school impact fees, that the School District should be
called and told that Council would need to know by the next Council
meeting.

Hornbostel stated that she would call the School District tomorrow.

Davidson called for any further Council comments or committee
reports.

NONE

19
