NONE <br /> <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS - ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON THE <br /> AGENDA <br /> <br />Davidson announced that there is going to be a neighborhood meeting <br />for those people living on Via Appia near Lafayette concerning <br />traffic issues and the potential need for a traffic light, etc., in <br />October. No specific date has been set. There will be an <br />additional neighborhood meeting for those people living near the <br />proposed Middle School park. No specific date has been set. <br /> <br />Sisk stated that for the number of people interested in the Carlson <br />annexation north of Hillsborough, the Council had consistently <br />discouraged the annexation process. <br /> <br />Howard stated that there had been a tremendous interest in the new <br />parks and new playground equipment. He stated that the city was <br />going to put additional playground equipment at the Recreation <br />Center to alleviate some of the overcrowding that was being seen at <br />Cottonwood Park. <br /> <br />Maj-Lis Kemper, City Clerk, commended Sue Hack for her work on the <br />minutes. <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1115, SERIES 1993 - CREATING ANAO-T ZONE DISTRICT - <br />2ND READING - PUBLIC HEARING (PUBL. LSVL. TIMES 8/4/93) <br /> <br />Griffiths read by title only Ordinance No. 1115, Series 1993, "An <br />ordinance creating an administrative office - Transition Zone <br />District and enacting or amending various sections of Title 17 of <br />the Louisville Municipal Code to incorporate said zone district <br />into the zoning regulations of the city." <br /> <br />Davidson opened the public hearing. <br /> <br />Paul Wood, Planning Director, stated that staff requested a <br />continuance of this 2nd reading of the ordinance to September 7, as <br />it was not properly advertised under the requirement of the <br />ordinance to advertise 15 days in advance of the public hearing. <br />He apologized. <br /> <br />Davidson called for anyone in the audience who wished to speak in <br />favor or against Ordinance No. 1115. <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />Sisk moved that Council continue the public hearing of Ordinance <br />1115, Series 1993, and advertise the ordinance until September 7, <br />1993.
