City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />January 5, 2016 <br />Page 4 of 15 <br />Municipal Judge Joss thanked the City Council for their vote of confidence. He stated <br />this appointment continues a long professional relationship with the City of Louisville. <br />City Attomey Sam Light thanked the Mayor, City Council, staff and citizens of Louisville <br />for their confidence in the Light Kelly law firm. He stated the City of Louisville has been <br />an exceptional client, an exceptional hometown, and exceptional community. He voiced <br />his honor to represent the City of Louisville. <br />Water Attorney Hill stated it has been a privilege to do the City's water work for the last <br />12 years. He voiced his appreciation for the City Council and staff for their support. He <br />noted he worked with the Louisville Community Development Department in 1978 and <br />felt he had a special relationship with the City. <br />Presiding Judge Joss explained Judge Cahn is the Associate Judge in Boulder, and the <br />Presiding Judge in Edgewater and Frederick. Judge Thrower is the Presiding Judge in <br />Superior. <br />Deputy Judge Cahn expressed his thanks for the appointment. <br />Deputy Judge Thrower thanked Council for the opportunity to serve as Deputy Judge <br />and Judge Joss for the confidence he has shown in him. He looked forward to serving <br />the community. <br />City Prosecutor Cribari stated she has been the City Prosecutor for six years and was <br />proud to serve the City of Louisville. <br />RESOLUTION No. 1, SERIES 2016 — A RESOLUTION APPROVING A BUSINESS <br />ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT WITH IZZIO ARTISAN BAKERY, LLC FOR AN <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROJECT IN THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE <br />Mayor Muckle requested a staff presentation. <br />Economic Development Director DeJong presented the Business Assistance Package <br />for lzzio Artisan Bakery, LLC. lzzio Bakery (formerly Udi's) is a major supplier of par - <br />baked frozen breads. Their major customers include Whole Foods, Costco, Sprouts, <br />Kroger and Trader Joes. It is the largest Colorado supplier of fresh artisan breads. It <br />was founded in 1999 by Udi Bar -on. <br />The project is to make tenant improvements and significant equipment purchases for <br />expansion, which include two new ovens and related infrastructure /equipment for their <br />site located at 185 S. 104th Street. They propose to bring 75 new jobs to Louisville for <br />a total employment of 195 jobs. $2,200,000 is proposed in total improvements and <br />equipment purchases; $86,700 will be paid in City Permit Fees, Construction Use taxes, <br />and Consumer Use Taxes and $10,500 for Open Space and Historic Preservation <br />purposes. <br />
