Business Retention & Development Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />December 7, 2015 <br />Page 5 of 5 <br />future. Currently 120 employees but see growth to an additional 75 employees. Council <br />member Lipton questioned if we have to help every business that wants to make a <br />capital investment. <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT UPDATE: <br />DeJong review the Economic Development updates provided in the packet. <br />• 550 S. McCaslin — RFP will go out, hopefully, in January. It will be on City <br />website and DeJong is identifying businesses and broker community. Chair Loo <br />would like as wide as distribution as possible. DeJong will try to get article in <br />Denver Post, BizWest, Denver Business Journal, Daily Camera. <br />• The Foundry — RMCS has proposed a mixed use development on a 7 acre pad <br />at Hwy 42 and Pascal. <br />• Markel proposing North End Market — mixed use proposal. <br />• Etkin Johnson will be constructing another spec building of 150,000 sf. <br />• More tenants at McCaslin Marketplace <br />• Council approved Evo Rock Climbing Gym and Brew Pub in CTC. <br />REPORT FROM COMMITTEE MEMBERS: <br />Chris would like to thank Jim who is stepping down from DBA.
