City Council Finance Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />02/15/16 <br />Page 2 of 7 <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br />None. <br />PRESENTATION OF GOLF COURSE DASHBOARD <br />Director of Parks & Recreation, Joe Stevens, and Golf Course Pro, David Baril <br />presented to the Finance Committee a draft of the newly developed Golf Course <br />Dashboard report. <br />Mr. Baril asked the Committee if there were other metrics they would like to have <br />added to the report. <br />Mayor Muckle stated that he would like to see an indicator of people per round <br />type as well as a breakdown of the round types (i.e. 9 -hole, 19- hole). Mayor <br />Muckle stated that he would also like annual running totals added to the <br />dashboard. <br />City Manager, Malcolm Fleming stated that he would like to see expenditures <br />added to the dashboard with comparisons to revenues and to budget. <br />Councilmember Maloney stated that he would like the dashboard to be a one - <br />page report to include the top 3 -4 categories of revenue and expenses only, with <br />the ability to drill down and receive detailed transactions as circumstances arise. <br />The key categories discussed were Green Fees, Golf Cart Rentals, and Driving <br />Range Fees. <br />Finance Committee Chairperson Stolzmann stated that she agreed with reporting <br />for major categories only, but would like the report presented in a chart or graph <br />form, instead of a table format. Members agreed that a graph format would <br />provide the best trend analysis going forward. Member Stolzmann also stated <br />that key indicators will need to be added and included in the final dashboard. <br />Resident, John Leary asked if revenue from the Pro Shop or Restaurant were <br />included on the draft dashboard. Director Stevens stated they were not, but <br />could easily be added. Councilmember Stolzmann stated that those two <br />categories should be added to the dashboard as well as Annual Season Passes. <br />Resident Leary stated that other indicators should be added to the dashboard <br />such as customer satisfaction and course conditions and that such ratings be <br />ongoing as part of the analysis. <br />Golf Pro, David Baril, stated that Coal Creek Golf Course had recently become a <br />member of the National Golf Foundation.
