Youth Advisory Board (YAB): <br />1. working on refreshments, possible chocolate fountain; City has YAB budget <br />2. so far 2-3 participants but teachers will give extra credit so hopeful more will <br />participate <br />3. article submitted to Louisville Times and Daily Camera <br />4. students are distributing flyers <br />5. Don Atwood stated that they had aback-up plan that might involve paying a small <br />stipend ($50) to local poets to help out. <br />6. Rebecca suggested Coal Creek Elementary School is having a similar event; we could <br />invite them to participate as well. Contact is Rebecca Adams <br />7. Don proposed the following as the new steering committee. Don moved to approve <br />the list, Maryan seconded, unanimous vote in favor: <br />Don Atwood, Chair <br />Gina Varra <br />Lynn Fleming, Coal Creek Theater <br />Lynn Wooten, Louisville Art Association & LCC <br />Karen Gerrity, Broomfield Auditorium, formerly of SCFD <br />Mike Haas, Consultant <br />Looking for members from the Louisville Chamber and Center Stage Theater <br />Productions <br />2. Feasibility Study is 4 years old and parts of it may need to be updated. <br />Action Item: Don to find out how much old one cost <br />Treasurer's Report -Jim Pollicita, Treasurer <br />1. $8349 current checking account balance <br />2. P&L done for 2007; 2008 & 2009 budgets become part of SCFD grant proposal <br />Action Item: Everyone needs to get budget items in to Jim by the end of April <br />3. With new people on the Council, we should anticipate some program growth <br />4. We must charge, even a modest amount, for all programming <br />5. We need to diversify sources of revenue, more corporate and individual donors - we <br />must ask for it! <br />
