Resource Conservation <br />Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />March 10, 2008 <br />Call to Order -Chairperson Mark Persichetti called the meeting to order at <br />6:45pm at the City Council Chambers. <br />Roll Call was taken and the following members were present: <br />Board Members Present: Beth Armbuster, Mark Persichetti, Jenny Braus, <br />Annie Hughs, Ryan Hughes, Richard Smith <br />Board Members Absent: Victor Goldberg <br />Staff Members Present: Tom Phare <br />Guests: Lauren Albers <br />Approval of Agenda -Agenda was approved. <br />Approval of Meeting Minutes -February meeting minutes not approved as a <br />quorum was not present. <br />Public Comments -Lauren is interested in what LARCAB is doing, especially <br />as it related to public education in conservation as it affects climate footprint. <br />Member Reports - <br />• Councilman Muckle had suggested LRCAB share info with local high <br />schools. Mark has contacted Youth Advisory Board to see if ecology <br />clubs at Monarch or Centaurus would be willing to use our display boards <br />on which we could post resource conservation info. <br />• Boulder Resource Conservation Advisory Board (BRCAB) has prepared a <br />draft for zero waste plan for County-owned property and unincorporated <br />Boulder County. Within County-owned properties, custodial staff will <br />separate; Single stream recycling starts in a couple of months; Household <br />Hazardous Waste facility just broke ground-located near 63rd Ave facility. <br />Tom has received IGA from Hillary Collins of Boulder County-went to City <br />attorney for legal issues and will go before Council in early April; Mark will <br />check on status of ordinance to require reporting of quantities and <br />requirement to offer recycling to all unincorporated Boulder County <br />City of Louisville <br />Public Works Department 749 Main Street Louisville CO 80027 <br />303.335.4608 (phone) 303.335.4738 (fax) www.ci.louisville.co.us <br />
