XIII. Art in the Park- Marion J - no discussion XIV. New Art Center -Don A LAA is pro-active in efforts for new art center. There is a well defined gap in that only theater and dance are represented. Don A moved that Keith Bobo, an arts photographer and member of the Longmont Symphony board be appointed to the art center steering committee. Lynn 2nd. All were in favor. The steering committee decided that the old feasibility study that is out there is adequate for now. Efforts will instead be spent on better defining what everyone wants in a new art center. XV. Grants - Andy L -not present XVI. Other -All Fourth of July Booth: Does anyone want to have a booth? There was not much traffic two years ago. As no one stepped forward in favor of doing a booth, we will not have a booth. Arts Events Calendar -will be made available at concerts in the park summer series and at fall events. There was discussion as to weather it should be an "All Events" calendar to include LCC, LAA< Coal Creek, Center Stage, Lori w/ Art Underground. Julie S will look into the idea that the City have a place on their website where all these different venues can feed their schedule into a master calendar. For now, the postcard-size calendar will remain LCC events only due to space. It will be available at events and at the water station at the summer concert series. The National Performing Arts convention is June 10-15. It was decided that the cost to benefit ratio is too high to attend for now. The June 19t" meeting will be cancelled due to the concert in the park. XVII. Deadlines and Discussion Items for Next Meeting: Meeting will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2008, 7:00 PM at the Louisville Recreation Center. Agenda items are due by Tuesday May 6 at noon, 2008.
