Resource Conservation <br />Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />May 12, 2008 <br />Call to Order -Chairperson Mark Persichetti called the meeting to order at 6:55 pm <br />in the City Council Chambers. <br />Roll Call was taken and the following members were present: <br />Board Members Present: Beth Armbuster, Mark Persichetti, Jenny Braus, <br />Ryan Hughes, Richard Smith, Victor Goldberg <br />Board Members Absent: Annie Hughs <br />Staff Members Present: Tom Phare <br />City Council Members Present: Dave Clabots <br />Guests: Kathy Kimberlin, Laura Robinson; both Louisville Residents <br />Approval of Agenda -Agenda was approved. <br />Approval of Meeting Minutes - A couple of corrections were made in the April <br />minutes; hence approval was delayed until June Meeting. <br />Member Reports: <br />Tom Phare: Proposed Notice to Haulers (with regard to citywide trash and <br />recycling collection) going to council May 20th. Notice will be sent to all <br />haulers doing business in Louisville. Cost may be an issue if the containers <br />are city owned. This is working well in Lafayette, with charges being attached <br />to the water bill. Grant for CFL bulbs from Boulder County was applied for. <br />Jenny Braus: Building Code Variance board met and discussed potential <br />building code changes to reduce energy usage. The board's priorities were <br />noted as Commercial, Residential Remodeling and New Residential due to <br />volume of work. <br />Mark Persichetti: Spoke with Longmont Chief Building Official with regards to <br />their Greenpoints program. No problems were noted. He also spoke with the <br />Louisville City Manager about potential Greenpoints/BuildSmart programs in <br />Louisville, and was asked to estimate cost per permit for users, as well as <br />costs to the city to implement any program. Boulder County is beginning <br />discussions about Commercial Green Construction. One of the members of <br />the public in attendance asked if there was a specific standard that the board <br />was shooting for in terms of energy reduction.
