<br />City Council Business Retention & Development Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />November 5, 2007 <br />Page 2 of 4 <br /> <br />Hogan suggested that it needed to be determined who would be taking charge of this <br />event. She felt that the BRaD should have a support role but it should not be a City <br />event. She also reminded members that Avista had offered to organize the event. <br /> <br />Fleming said that he would contact John Sackett from Avista. <br /> <br />Brown said that when this idea was first discussed the vision was for BRaD to organize <br />the first and possibly second meeting to get it started and then the various businesses <br />participating would organize the event. He also suggested that a subcommittee should <br />be formed in regards to this event. <br /> <br />Caranci inquired what the goal of having these events was. He sugge he <br />purpose was business networking <br /> <br /> <br />Fleming said it could also be used to present regional econo s which could be <br />sponsored/presented at universities or banks. <br /> <br /> <br />Hogan said that something like that would be appropriate for the end of February. <br /> <br />BUSINESS ASSISTANC <br />Hogan presented a spreadsheet that will help to trac Ps that have been approved. <br />She said that another column would be added titled "pa ut". They currently have a quick serve restaurant and a coffee shop interested in <br />the space and want to deliver the space between May and June. He said that Koebel <br />was looking for a BAP that would have a sharing ratio after the 4th year. <br />
