RESOLUTION N0.25 <br />SERIES 2008 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT FOR <br />THE PROVISION OF SERVICES AND AID IN PREPARATION FOR AND DURING <br />THE DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL CONVENTION <br />WHEREAS, an Intergovernmental Agreement has been proposed between the City and <br />County of Denver and the City of Louisville regarding Louisville's provision of certain law <br />enforcement services and aid in preparation for and during the Democratic National Convention; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Louisville is authorized to enter into such Intergovernmental Agreement by <br />applicable law, including but not limited to C.R.S. § 29-1-103 and C.R.S. § 29-5-104; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />1. The proposed Intergovernmental Agreement For the Provision of Services and <br />Aid in Preparation for and During the Democratic National Convention, between the City and <br />County of Denver and the City of Louisville (the "Intergovernmental Agreement"), a copy of <br />which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, is hereby approved. <br />2. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute the attached <br />Intergovernmental Agreement on behalf of the City of Louisville, except that the Mayor is <br />hereby further authorized to negotiate and approve such revisions to the Intergovernmental <br />Agreement as are determined necessary or desirable for the protection of the City, so long as the <br />essential terms and conditions of the Intergovernmental Agreement are not altered. <br />3. The Mayor, City Manager, Chief of Police and City Staff are further authorized to <br />do all things necessary on behalf of the City to perform the obligations of the City under the <br />Intergovernmental Agreement, and are further authorized to execute and deliver any and all <br />documents necessary to effect the City's rights and obligations under the Intergovernmental <br />Agreement. <br />~,,., <br />' PA~SEI~,~~1D ADOPTED this ~ ! ~ day of G,~~'1,~/ , 2008. <br />,4.
