Williamson stated thhat an Annexation Agreement has <br />been prepared and signed by the applicant. A <br />motion to adopted Ordinance #947 should also <br />include authorization for the Mayor and City Clerk <br />to execute the Annexation Agreement. This Agree- <br />ment provides for tYie normal extension of City <br />Services and provides that the entire property <br />will be developed a:s a single PUD. Also, it incor- <br />porates all of the Y?lanning Commission's and <br />staff's recommendat~'~ons regarding use, and the <br />Design Guidelines is an exhibit to the Agreement. <br />Mayor Fauson closed the public hearing and called <br />for a motion. <br />Mohr moved that Ordinance #947 be adopted on second <br />and final reading and authorize the Mayor and City <br />Clerk to execute thE~ Annexation Agreement. Carnival <br />seconded. By Roll Call Vote, Ordinance #947 was <br />adopted unanimously. <br />ORDINANCE #950 - AMENDMENT TO ZONING ORDINANC;E - HOME OCCUPATIONS - <br />1ST READING - <br />SET PUBLIC HEARING Williamson read in :its entirety Ordinance #950, "An <br />Ordinance amending 4'itle 17 of the Louisville <br />Municipal Code entitled "Zoning" by modifying the <br />prohibitions and conditions concerning Home <br />Occupations." <br />Permission is being sought to place the Ordinance <br />out for publication and a public hearing set for <br />February 16, 1988. <br />Wanush stated that t:he current zoning ordinance has <br />a provision for Home Occupations. This allows most <br />types of businesses to be conducted in residential <br />areas of the City as long as they essentially don't <br />affect the residential character of the area. There <br />are certain criteria in the ordinance that must be <br />followed, i.e, adequate parking, no noise, no signs, <br />and no one other than members of the family <br />operating the business. Uses specifically excluded <br />are auto repair, motorized implement repair, dance, <br />music or other types; of instruction, dental and <br />medical offices, painting of vehicles, trailers or <br />boats, private schools with organized classes, radio <br />and television repair, barber and/or beauty shops, <br />welding shops and nursing homes. <br />This Ordinance proposes to remove barber and/or <br />beauty shops from that section of the current <br />ordinance. <br />Mohr asked that during the 30 days prior to the <br />proposed public hearing staff survey other <br />5 <br />
