City will be giving certain portions of land (S3) <br />which fronts Mr. P~iella's property. The City is <br />deeding over to Mr. Biella the southern one-half <br />cross section of Dillon Rd. and the City will be <br />deeding over the northern one-half cross section of <br />Dillon Rd. plus all land northward towards a gas <br />line right-of-way. <br />Mayor Fauson moved and Mohr seconded to approve the <br />land trade agreement with Biella. The motion was <br />approved 5-0. <br />Mayor Fauson thanked Mr. Stahl, Mr. Biella, Mr. <br />Menkick and the people involved in the Health Park <br />for all their cooperation in helping getting those <br />things necessary for the construction of the <br />proposed golf course. <br />(Sackett and Anderson rejoined the meeting.) <br />RTD PRESENTATION ON REGIONAL RAPID TRANSIT <br />SYSTEM Wanush explained that this presentation by the RTD <br />Board was postponed until the next Council meeting. <br />APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT WITH SCHOOL DISTRICT -- USE OF <br />PLAYING FIELDS Lillo explained that City staff and the Boulder <br />Valley School District have completed discussions <br />and finalized the joint use agreement for the use of <br />the new multipurpo:>e field at Louisville Elementary <br />School. As outlined by the agreement the City has <br />provided a two incYi water tap at no cost to the <br />school district in exchange for exclusive use of the <br />multipurpose field during the summer months each <br />year. Also the teem of the agreement shall run 10 <br />years - 1988 thru 1.997, and exclusive use by the <br />City shall be from the second Monday of June through <br />the fourth Friday i.n August each year. When the <br />school district is not holding regular classes or <br />school functions on the field, the City shall have <br />priority usage of the site. Lillo explained the <br />other provisions in. the agreement. <br />Lillo stated that upon review of the Agreement by <br />Williamson there are three additional provisions <br />recommended: 1) clarification of the language <br />regarding exclusive usage time; 2) the addition of a <br />maximum dollar amount of responsibility during the <br />City's exclusive maintenance time ($500); 3) <br />termination being extended to 180 days written <br />notification. <br />Lillo stated that the primary use will be the fall <br />and spring soccer program and the summer for the <br />City's baseball program. <br />12 <br />
