Lillo asked that Council approve this Agreement
contingent upon the District agreeing to the
addition of those three provisions.
Pat Hornbostel, 655 W. Hawthorn, asked to speak.
Mr. Hornbostel stated that at this time Centennial
Little League has not be allowed to use City
facilities for their League's use and ask that they
be given time proportional to the number of players
to use the City's facilities.
Mayor Fauson asked that staff meet with Mr.
Hornbostel regarding this issue.
Anderson moved and Scarpella seconded to approve and
authorize the Mayor to sign the proposed Joint Use
Agreement with the Boulder Valley School District.
with the addition of the stated amendments.
Unanimous.
RESOLUTION #11 - METROPOLITAN WATER
AGREEMENT Resolution #11, "An agreement for Arapahoe County to
become provider and participant to the Metropolitan
Water Development Agreement."
Phare explained that Arapahoe County is asking to
become a member of the Metropolitan Water
Development AgreemE~nt and to participate in the
Platte and Colorado River Storage Projects. The
projects at this time essentially mean the Two Forks
Dam Project. The Metropolitan Water Provider's
staff has requesteci the City to consider authorizing
Araphoe County to r>ecome a participant in the
project. The Platte and Colorado River Storage
Project Participation Agreements require that all
current members must approve new members in order
for them to purchase and own interest in the
projects.
Allowing another entity in the Agreement has
potential impact for Louisville in that it could
create further demand for share in the Two Forks
Project. This may be in Louisville's best interest
if the City should ever choose to opt out of the Two
Forks Project and wish to sell its interest.
Mohr moved and Sackett seconded to adopt Resolution
#11, Series 1988. Unanimous.
AUTHORIZATION TO AWARD BID - 1 TON
TRUCK Phare explained that included in the 1988 Water and
Wastewater Fund CIP's are funds for the purchase of
a one ton truck. The purpose of acquiring a new
truck is to replace an existing vehicle with over
100,000 miles plus upgrade the fleet capability.
13
