two developers, Mr'. Bellock and McStain Enterprises. <br />Mr. Hornbostel asked that Council consider the <br />long-range problem. in Boulder County with public <br />schools. He stated that long-term we are going to <br />have to decide if we are going to come back to the <br />property taxpayers time after time to provide more <br />schools. Mr. Hornbostel stated that there are other <br />alternatives that should be looked into in the near <br />future including having development pay for itself <br />such as impact fees in terms of real estate transfer <br />fees to help pay for schools that are and will be <br />needed as a result of residential annexations. <br />Dan DiSalle, 1323 Caledonia Cir., stated that this <br />issue "holds the economic life-blood of our City <br />together." Mr. Di~Salle feels this project gives the <br />City the commercial base needed in terms of what it <br />can lead to for the Homart Development property. <br />Eugene Caranci, 11iD1 Main, stated that he is the <br />Director of the Louisville Chamber of Commerce and <br />on behalf of the Chamber Board of Directors and its <br />members, he expres:aed their pride and gratitude for <br />the City Council and staff for pursuing this major <br />undertaking that wall have such an immediate <br />favorable impact on the City's ability to enhance <br />its economic development program. Mr. Caranci <br />stated that the announcement earlier today by the <br />officers of Memorial Hospital of their plans to <br />begin construction this fall of an $18 million <br />dollar hospital in the Health Park is also evident <br />of the positive future plans of the City. The Coal <br />Creek Project will definitely enhance the Health <br />Park project as we]_1 being a major step forward for <br />a total business acid residential community project. <br />Mark Williams, representing the Memorial Hospital <br />and the Rocky Mountain Regional Adventist Health <br />System, stated that: they are extremely proud to be a <br />part of the Louisville business community and feel <br />that the Coal Creek: project will be an asset to <br />their project. Attracting the highest quality <br />physicians to the Hospital is vital and the Coal <br />Creek project will provide the amenities sought by <br />this group of specialists. The Health Park will <br />also provide a facility for the senior population <br />who enjoy playing golf. This golf course will be a <br />compliment to the very attractive buildings being <br />planned for the Park. <br />Virginia Caranci, 1101 Main, Co-Chairman of the Golf <br />Association stated it is important not to delay any <br />longer getting this project approved and moving <br />forward. Mrs. Caranci stated that no matter where <br />the golf course is located property taxes to pay for <br />5 <br />
