Bellock representing Coal Creek <br />Associates, gave a. presentation stating that the <br />goal is to provide the best municipal golf course <br />available to the City of Louisville and create a <br />model master plan for move-up housing for the <br />City as well. To achieve that goal, Mr. Bellock <br />stated that they have put together a group of some <br />of the top professionals including an expert land <br />planner, an outstanding golf course architect, and a <br />national golf course consultant. Mr. Bellock stated <br />that every golf course professional who reviewed the <br />project has "come away with a very very positive <br />feeling" about the proposal. <br />Mr. Bellock stated that although all the final <br />documents are not yet "in hand", it is simply a <br />matter of mechanics of finishing up the necessary <br />paperwork and everything requested by the City is <br />being provided. Mr. Bellock commended City Attorney <br />Steve Williamson for his efforts in getting all the <br />necessary paperwork completed. <br />Dick Phelps, golf course architect, provided Council <br />with background on the plan for the course and <br />stated that this site "particularly exciting to us <br />because it offers some amenities that we don't often <br />get a chance to utilize particularly in the Front <br />Range." Mr. Phelps stated that this site provides <br />the course with trees and a flowing stream. It is <br />"without parallel in the Front Range area." <br />Mayor Fauson asked for those people wishing to speak <br />to Council regarding this issue. <br />Laurence Enrietto, 1000 LaFarge, stated that the <br />Louisville Golf Course Association formed two years <br />ago working toward a quality course in Louisville. <br />Mr. Enrietto thanked those people involved in <br />getting this project here tonight stating that it is <br />a major milestone :Eor this community and the area. <br />"It will provide open space that is manicured and <br />revenue producing and enhance economic development <br />versus land left for only for prairie dogs and weeds <br />to grow and serves no other useful purpose." <br />Anthony DeNovellis, 524 Leader Cr., stated that he <br />also is a proponenit of this project as it will <br />attract other businesses to the City. <br />Pat Hornbostel, 65!i W. Hawthorn, stated that a <br />school bond issue voted on last December was <br />supported by many people including Mr. Enrietto, and <br />4 <br />
