restrictions on it: to protect the City. Its all
been in the best interest of the City and I
apologize to the people for all the delays, but ask
that you be patient with us and we are going to get
you the best that there is possible to get. But it
does take time." Szymanski is in favor of this
project but will ask that final approval be delayed
until all the final documents are in hand.
Scarpella thanked everyone involved to help come up
with the best project the City can be provided.
Scarpella feels that although there have been
delays, it is in the best interest of the City to
defer final action until all final documents are
available.
Carnival stated he is excited about the development
which meets all the goals and objectives of the
community. He concurs with deferring final action
until all final documents are in.
Mayor Fauson stated that although it seems that this
project has taken a lot of time, the end result is a
quality project.
Mayor Fauson closed the public hearing and asked
staff recommendation regarding final action.
Hundley explained that the annexation can be
approved with conditions that final documents are
acceptable to the City by a specified date. A
second option is to continue this Council meeting
until a date next `week, presumable March 9, 1988, at
which time all documents will be completed and
available to Council. Council could then take final
action. Hundley recommended the latter approach.
Szymanski moved and Carnival seconded to continue
the Council Meeting to March 9, 1988 for final
consideration on Ordinance #948. The motion passed
5-0.
ORDINANCE #949 - COAL CREEK RANCH ZONING -
PUBLIC HEARING Ordinance #949, "An Ordinance amending Title 17 of
the Louisville Municipal Code entitled "Zoning" by
zoning property commonly known as the Coal Creek
Ranch."
Hundley explained ghat in consideration of this
Ordinance, the pub]Lic hearing should be opened,
public comments be heard, and then a motion made to
defer action until the March 9, 1988 continuation of
this Council Meeting.
Mayor Fauson openeci the public hearing and asked
staff for presentation.
9
