requirements of the applicant and the criteria <br />upon which the City Council shall either approve <br />or deny the request:. The applicant has included <br />1) a complete description and diagram of the <br />property where the music will be performed, <br />location of entz•ances and exits, parking <br />facilities for guests and restroom facilities; 2) <br />the time of the performance, 3) number of members <br />in the musical group and instruments that will be <br />played; 4) description of sound amplification <br />system; 5) description of crowd control; 6) <br />designation of peoF~le responsible for organizing <br />and put on performance, and 7) estimate of number <br />of people who will be attending. The applicant <br />was requesting that Harding Ct., adjacent to the <br />property, be closed for the event, however, they <br />have since withdrawn that request. Council set a <br />public hearing and all property owners within 200 <br />ft. of the site Hrere notified by mail. An <br />application fee c>f twenty dollars has been <br />collected. <br />Tonight is the public hearing to consider the live <br />music permit. The criteria to be considered by <br />Council include: :L) crowd control, including <br />control of ingress and egress, 2) noise control, <br />3) adequate restroorn facilities, 4) adequate room <br />is available for the: expected or planned crowd, 5) <br />adequate parking, 6) valid and substantial <br />objections of neighboring property owners. <br />Mayor Fauson opened the public hearing. <br />The Lambrecht's gave a presentation wherein Mrs. <br />Lambrecht gave a chronology of events prior to <br />bringing this request to Council. Mrs. Lambrecht <br />felt that this request gained a great deal of <br />unnecessary attention due to misunderstandings and <br />improper publicity. Mrs. Lambrecht received a <br />telephone call wherein she felt a member of <br />Council was calling her regarding their request <br />when in fact it was a reporter for the Boulder <br />Daily Camera. The Lambrecht's were not present at <br />the presentation of this request to Council due to <br />a conflict, but was assured by the City Clerk that <br />a public hearing would be set wherein their <br />presentation could be made. An article was <br />published in the Bouulder Daily Camera that upset <br />the Lambrecht's. Mars. Lambrecht stated that the <br />reporter had misrepresented herself to Mrs. <br />Lambrecht's son and to Mrs. Lambrecht and slanted <br />their whole effort. They wish to speak to all of <br />the questions Council may have. <br />8 <br />
