Mr. Lambrecht stated that Council vote favorably
to allow this graduation party to honor his son's
achievements.
Ginger Dean, 258 :i. Washington Ave., spoke in
favor of this request stating that the graduate
and his friends should have the opportunity to
prove that they are responsible adults. Ms. Dean
stated that it is appropriate to have Brandon
Lambrecht give his Y>rother a graduation present by
playing at this graduation party and asked Council
to support this request.
Jim Adams, 603 W. .Aspen Ct., presented Council
with a letter urging Council not to grant
permission for a hive music permit stating that
"this noise can be very stressful to people who do
not like it."
Merilyn Waldo, 688 W. Dahlia, stated that she
supports the granting of this permit for live
music. Ms. Waldo stated that the family is
responsible and this would not be setting a
precedent.
Mayor Fauson stated that if there was any
misrepresentation by any member of the press that
it would be looked into and apologized to the
Lambrecht's for any problems that this may have
created.
Sackett stated that his concern was to avoid any
problems with the setting and how it could get out
of hand. However, Sackett felt that this was a
responsible group and would take great measures to
ensure that it was a safe event.
Anderson stated that with regard to alcohol he
would like to see certain requirements: 1) any and
all alcohol consumed be only consumed within the
boundaries of the residential lot, not on the
sidewalk or street, 2) alcohol can only be served
in accordance with ithe State law which precludes
any minors, and 3 ) any verifiable and justifiable
incident deemed so by the Police Department will
in fact cause the event to be closed down.
Anderson asked that consideration be given to the
times requested in the permit due to the
residential setting.
Carnival stated that he feels the family would be
sensitive to the level of noise and that the
he would be supportive of this particular request.
9
