PROCLAMATION - LOUIE LOUIE DAY IN THE CITY OF <br />LOUISVILLE Mayor Fauson proclaimed May 22 as Louie Louie Day <br />and the City of Louisville, Louieville for the day. <br />PROCLAMATION - ELDER ABUSE PREVENTION <br />WEEK Mayor Fauson proclaimed May 15-21 as Elder Abuse <br />Prevention Week. <br />PROCLAMATION - NATIONAL PUBLIC WORKS <br />WEEK Mayor Fauson proclaimed May 15-21 as National <br />Public Works Week. <br />ORDINANCE #952 - GOLF COURSE BONDS - PUBLIC <br />HEARING Anderson asked to abstain from discussion and/or <br />action on this next Agenda item due to possible <br />conflict of interest. <br />Ordinance #952 authorizes the issuance of bonds in <br />the amount of $4,340,000 for the construction of a <br />golf course along Coal Creek in the City of <br />Louisville. A public hearing and final passage <br />was scheduled fo:r this evening but the bond <br />attorneys, Lamm a:nd Edstrom, are requesting a <br />continuance to a Special Council Meeting on May <br />31, 1988, because the bonds have not yet been <br />placed. <br />Mayor Fauson asked if there was anyone who came to <br />speak specifically to this Ordinance who would not <br />be able to return to the May 31, 1988 meeting. <br />None. <br />Mayor Fauson moved and Mohr seconded to continue <br />the public hearing on Ordinance #952 to May 31, <br />1988 at which time a Special Meeting will be <br />called for second and final reading of this <br />Ordinance. The moi~ion passed 5-0-1 with Anderson <br />abstaining. <br />RESOLUTION #19 - ANNEXATION PETITION - RUSSE;LL <br />PROPERTY Williamson read in its entirety Resolution #19, "A <br />Resolution of the City Council of the City of <br />Louisville finding substantial compliance of an <br />annexation petitior.~ filed by Yvonne H. Russell and <br />David H. Russell. and initiating annexation <br />proceedings for curtain property and establishing <br />a time for a public hearing to determine if the <br />proposed annexation complies with Statutory <br />requirements." <br />Anderson asked to abstain from discussion and/or <br />action due to possible conflict of interest. <br />2 <br />
