PROCLAMATION - LOUIE LOUIE DAY IN THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE Mayor Fauson proclaimed May 22 as Louie Louie Day and the City of Louisville, Louieville for the day. PROCLAMATION - ELDER ABUSE PREVENTION WEEK Mayor Fauson proclaimed May 15-21 as Elder Abuse Prevention Week. PROCLAMATION - NATIONAL PUBLIC WORKS WEEK Mayor Fauson proclaimed May 15-21 as National Public Works Week. ORDINANCE #952 - GOLF COURSE BONDS - PUBLIC HEARING Anderson asked to abstain from discussion and/or action on this next Agenda item due to possible conflict of interest. Ordinance #952 authorizes the issuance of bonds in the amount of $4,340,000 for the construction of a golf course along Coal Creek in the City of Louisville. A public hearing and final passage was scheduled fo:r this evening but the bond attorneys, Lamm a:nd Edstrom, are requesting a continuance to a Special Council Meeting on May 31, 1988, because the bonds have not yet been placed. Mayor Fauson asked if there was anyone who came to speak specifically to this Ordinance who would not be able to return to the May 31, 1988 meeting. None. Mayor Fauson moved and Mohr seconded to continue the public hearing on Ordinance #952 to May 31, 1988 at which time a Special Meeting will be called for second and final reading of this Ordinance. The moi~ion passed 5-0-1 with Anderson abstaining. RESOLUTION #19 - ANNEXATION PETITION - RUSSE;LL PROPERTY Williamson read in its entirety Resolution #19, "A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Louisville finding substantial compliance of an annexation petitior.~ filed by Yvonne H. Russell and David H. Russell. and initiating annexation proceedings for curtain property and establishing a time for a public hearing to determine if the proposed annexation complies with Statutory requirements." Anderson asked to abstain from discussion and/or action due to possible conflict of interest. 2
