Staff recommends placing the <br />Ordinance out for publication and a public hearing <br />set for August 16, :L988. <br />The applicant, Robert and Carolene Younkin, is <br />requesting the City vacate a portion of right-of- <br />way known as Tract "D" Parkwood Filing #2. The <br />tract was originally set aside for future <br />pedestrian connection to open space and for a 16" <br />water transmission :Line. The water line is in the <br />eastern portion of i:he right-of-way (20') and will <br />remain in City ownership. The western portion of <br />the right-of-way (16') is no longer considered a <br />needed option for pedestrian access since such <br />access exists nearby to Lake Park (4 blocks east <br />of Tract "D" off' of Griffith).
