Review of the City's tap fees <br />indicates additional revenue must be generated <br />in order to meet existing debt obligations and <br />generate a debt: retirement fund in order to <br />help retire bonds. Staff is proposing a $.50 <br />sewer assessment to be used for debt retirement <br />beginning in 1989 and increase by $.50 a year <br />in 1990 and 1991. Staff is also proposing an <br />increase in taps fees (3$ annually for the next <br />five years.) The additional revenue will <br />assist in maintaining the capital balance for <br />future projects as well as help retire current <br />debt obligations. <br />Carnival moved and Sackett seconded to place <br />Ordinance #977 out for publication and set a <br />public hearing for December 20, 1988. Motion <br />passed 6-0. <br />RESOLUTION #53, SERIES 1988 - 1988 BUDGET AMENDMENTS - <br />SET PUBLIC HEARING Williamson read. by title only Resolution #53, <br />"A Resolution amending the 1988 Budget by <br />increasing revenues and appropriations in the <br />General, Capital Improvement, Cemetery, <br />Conservation Trust, Debt Service, Special <br />Improvement District 86-1, Water and <br />Wastewater, and. Coal Creek Golf Course Funds." <br />Asti-Caranci stated that this Resolution will <br />amend the 1988 Budget for all funds. Colorado <br />Budget Law requires that the Resolution be <br />adopted at a public hearing after publication <br />by a majority vote of City Council. <br />Sackett moved a.nd Scarpella seconded to place <br />Resolution #53 out for publication and set a <br />public hearing for December 20, 1988.
