UPDATE - INTERFUND LOAN FROM WASTEWATER FUNDS TO <br />WATER FUND Asti-Caranci related that on the December 16, <br />1986, Council Meeting, City Council authorized a <br />transfer of up to $65,000 from the Wastewater Fund <br />to the Water Fund to cover a projected cash <br />deficit. At year-end, the Water Utility Fund had <br />a net income of $31.,199. Therefore, the transfer <br />from the Wastewater Fund was not necessary. A <br />detailed outline of the net income for the Water <br />fund was submitted to Council. <br />Mayor Fauson thanked Asti-Caranci for the <br />information and stated that the information is <br />"self-explanatory and I think its great." <br />UPDATE - CDBG LOAN <br />PROGRAM Betsey Martens, Coordinator for the Lafayette- <br />Louisville Downtown Revitalization, Inc., gave a <br />report on the first. three months of activity <br />stating 8 projects have been approved with 4 <br />projects closed; $90,893 in CDBG funds have been <br />obligated, leveraging $552,516 in improvements in <br />the two cities with Louisville having $109,320. <br />The projects are currently split evenly between <br />the two cities - 4 in Louisville; 4 in Lafayette. <br />A new roof has beer. completed on Senior T's. The <br />Double Happy Restaurant is beginning a complete <br />renovation including a new parking lot. <br />Hundley added that this program has been viewed <br />very favorably by the State because of the <br />progress that has been made to date and has been <br />as successful as any in the State and is a <br />reflection of the work Ms. Martens and the <br />Advisory Committee are doing. <br />Mayor Fauson thanked Wanush for his part in <br />getting the programs started and thanked Ms. <br />Martens for the fine work she has done. <br />UPDATE - CAPITAL <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS Phare updated Council on the progress of various <br />Capital Improvement: Projects in the City of <br />Louisville. Among those projects included the <br />Wastewater Treatment Plant expansion. The area <br />has been excavated and is nearly ready to have the <br />floor poured to the tank. The foundation of the <br />first building addition has been installed and <br />will begin building as weather permits. The North <br />Louisville Lift Station project is proceeding and <br />in a few weeks will. be ready for tying into the <br />sewer. By spring, the South Boulder Road project <br />will be ready to complete as the right-of-way has <br />been obtained and utilities are bein installed <br />and/or relocated.
