05/19/87
Anderson and Sackett asked to be excused from the proceedings on the next
Agenda Item, Resolution #13 - Subdivision for Health Park, as a matter of
possible conflict of interest. Mayor Fauson excused both Councilmen from
the proceedings on this issue and also excused Anderson from the
proceedings on Resolution #15, Special Review Use for Montessori School, as
a matter of possible conflict of interest.
RESOLUTION #13 - SUBDIVISION FOR
HEALTH PARK Rautenstraus read, in its entirety Resolution #13,
"A Resolution approving a final subdivision plat
for Health Park Subdivision."
Wanush stated that at the May 12, 1987, Planning
Commission meeting, a preliminary PUD and a final
subdivision on the entire 72 acre site was
approved. Our resources are quite scarce.. Payments
that we make to the City up front will cause some
decreases in what: and when we can build a
hospital." Ferguson stated that in some cities
there is a special tax to support hospitals. They
are not asking for "any special favors" and hopes
that Council will approve the Subdivision Agree-
ment at tonight's meeting.
Donald Edge, architect for the project, gave a
comprehensive presentation showing the layout of
the site and outlined the various uses proposed.
Mr. Edge also explained the improvements agreed
upon within the Subdivision Agreement that are the
Health Park's obligation to provide.
Wanush summarized) the subdivision of the Health
Park stating that in December of 1986, Council
approved the Special Review Use on this site for a
Health Care Park that included virtually all the
facilities presented by Donald Edge.
