Mayor Fauson closed. the public hearing and called for a motion. Szymanski moved that Ordinance #934 be adopted. Mohr seconded. By Roll Call Vote, Ordinance #934 was adopted unanimously. ORDINANCE #935 - AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 2.40 - CONSULTANTS - PUBLIC HEARING Rautenstraus read by title only Ordinance #935, "An Ordinance amending Chapter 2.40 of the Louisville Municipal Code concerning consultants hired by the City." Mayor Fauson opened the public hearing and certification of publication and notice of public hearing was established. Hundley explained ghat as was discussed at the August 18th Meeting„ Mayor Herm Fauson recommended clarification in the procedure for evaluating and retaining those individuals and firms providing services to the City of Louisville, e.g., City Administrator, City Attorney, City's Water Attorney, engineering consultants, bond underwriters, etc. Mayor Fauson stated that this procedure is already in effect as far as the City Administrator is concerned and recommends that this same procedure be used for all City consultants. Mayor Fauson asked 7Eor anyone wishing to speak either in favor of or in opposition to this Ordinance. None. Mayor Fauson closed the public hearing and called for a motion. Mohr moved that Ordinance #935 be adopted. Mayor Fauson seconded. Sackett asked how uitilization of this procedure would be implemented. Who could call for the review - a single Councilm~ember or Council as a body. Mayor Fauson stated that Council as a body would have the authority to call for a review of a City consultant. A single Councilmember would ask Council consideration of this procedure and Council as a body would decade if it was appropriate. Mohr suggested that the primary intent was to have an annual review of all consultants. Mayor Fauson agreed. By Roll Call Vote, Ordinance #935 was adopted unanimously. 3
