The City of Boulder is now
attempting to purchase $2.8 million in open space
in what is perceived to be a fast tract manner and
allows no time for member cities to react. This
proposed purchase is in direct contradiction to
the purpose of the Consortium.
Mayor Fauson stated that a letter was sent to
Boulder Mayor Linda Jourgensen requesting a
postponement of a decision to purchase the
property in question until the Consortium was able
to look at and respond to the issue since Boulder
is going out of their comprehensive plan
boundaries. The City of Boulder is meeting this
evening on this issue.
10
