City should time these things so that employers
can be brought in and that there is adequate
housing for their employees. Sackett feels that
there are still enough questions regarding this
particular proposed annexation that he agrees
that postponing a decision is wise.
Mayor Fauson stated that he does not like to see
delays, however, the studies that relate to this
proposed annexation, e.g., water study and school
study, will play into this request. Therefore,
Mayor Fauson feels that there is a general
consensus from Council that final decision on this
issue should be delayed.
Mayor Fauson moved that this hearing for the
Warembourg Annexation request be continued to the
June 16th City Council Meeting. Mohr seconded and
the motion was approved unanimously.
ORDINANCE #884 - WAREMBOURG
ZONING - PUBLIC HEARING
Mohr moved that they Public Hearing for this
Ordinance be reset for June 16th where it will be
held in conjunction with the Warembourg Annexation
request. Mayor Fauson seconded. Unanimous.
RECESS. Mayor Fauson called. for a short recess at 9:40
p.m.
ORDINANCE #886 - PUBLIC HEARING
AMENDMENT TO WATER BOND REFUNDING
Rautenstraus read by title only Ordinance #886,
"An Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 859, adopted
May 21, 1985, of th.e City of Louisville, Colorado,
which Ordinance No. 859 authorized the issuance of
the City's General Obligation Water Refunding and
Improvement Bonds, Series 1985 bonds on December
1, 1991, and on any interest payment date
thereafter, upon payment of par and accrued
interest, without redemption premium; authorizing
the reprinting of the series 1985 bonds; providing
other details in connection therewith; and
declaring an emergency." Proof of publication
and notice of Public Hearing were established.
Mayor Fauson opened the Public Hearing.
Hundley explained that at the last City Council
meeting, Council approved on First Reading
Ordinance #886 which would amend the existing
Water Bond Ordinance #859 passed in May, 1985.
Amending this ordinance would allow the City of
Louisville to call in these water bonds at par
value in order to refinance them.
