Avenue and other smaller areas; 3) Harper Lake <br />Fence - the west side is the only remaining area <br />to complete within the next couple of weeks; 4) Via <br />Appia Special Improvement District - the earthwork <br />is underway as is the storm sewer and other <br />utilities, and concrete curb will begin with a <br />week. Mid-August should be when traffic is <br />allowed on this roadway; 5) the City's portion of <br />the Via Appia Project - contract signatures should <br />be executed by first of next week and will be <br />completed simultaneously with the rest of the <br />project; 6) Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion - <br />the site application is at the State and hopefully <br />will be completed by next week. The City will be <br />able to begin as soon as the application is <br />approved. <br />Some tree planting and the completion of the pool <br />improvements are other projects that will also be <br />undertaken this year. <br />Hundley stated that the City Shops project was <br />completed in March of this year. Mayor Fauson <br />asked that a public open house be held as the City <br />should be proud of this site. <br />Szymanski asked what projects were pared back this <br />year due to the decline in revenues. Hundley <br />stated that the street improvement projects and <br />sidewalk replacement projects were scaled down <br />somewhat. No programs were eliminated, just pared <br />back. <br />RECESS Mayor Fauson called a brief recess. <br />(Councilmen Sackett & Scarpella arrived during recess) <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT - PUBLIC HEARING <br />Mayor Fauson opened the public hearing. <br />At its June 24, 1986, meeting, the Planning <br />Commission held a public hearing to review <br />amendments to the Louisville's Comprehensive Plan. <br />Staff requested that amendments to the Plan be <br />considered in the following areas: <br />1) The area surrounding the U.S. 36 interchange at <br />McCaslin Blvd. should be considered for inclusion <br />in the Development Plan Map. This would involve <br />the expansion of the Development Plan Map south of <br />U.S. 36. <br />2) The 1500 ft. setback currently indicated along <br />the north side of U.S. 36 should be examined and <br />clarified. <br />4 <br />
