WASTEWATER SITE APPROVAL
UPDATE Phare announced to Council that site approval by
the State has been received for the City's
Wastewater Treatment Plant and things are running
on schedule.
PUBLIC COMMENTS
None.
COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE
REPORTS Szymanski asked Phare the status of the "payback"
to the Denver Water Board. Phare stated that the
City has paid back 390 acre feet which was all
that the Board would take and was the maximum
amount Louisville was allowed to pay this year
under the agreement. Although we were in the
position to supply the remaining amount, they
would not take it. At this time, the City has
over 900 acre feet of water which is equivalent to
approximately 1/3 to 1/4 of annual use in the
Marshall Lake Reservoir. Harper Reservoir is also
topped off at this time.
Mohr informed Council that the Senior Citizens
elected a new Advisory Board and congratulated the
new members.
Anderson commented on the Consortium of Cities
Meeting held Sept. 3rd in Louisville thanking the
Mayor and the members of Council that participated
that evening. The assessed valuation of the
County has risen 4~. Computerized mapping has
been approved for the County and will be available
for accessing by the cities. Ground breaking for
the new jail has taken place. Anderson updated
Council. on other items discussed at the meeting
including a County-wide workshop on open space
being planned.
Anderson encouraged parents to have their children
ride the bus due to construction on South Boulder
Road so that children are not crossing that road
on their way to Coal Creek Elementary.
Hundley informed Council that he had attended the
School Board Meeting of BVSD last Thursday and
indicated to the School District that the Council
was very concerned about the speeding up of
additions and also the construction of a new
elementary school in Louisville. The City is
negotiating with the District to transfer some
land near the existing recreation center site for
a new elementary school and encourage3the District
to have that school open by the fall of 1988. The
decision is in their hands and Hundley indicated
12
