Anderson moved that Resolution #48 be approved.
Mayor Fauson seconded. Unanimous.
BROTHERS3 RESTAURANT LIQUOR LICENSE
PUBLIC HEARING Mayor Pro Tem Mohr opened the public hearing.
Ferris explained that the application is for a
restaurant liquor license to be located at
1000 So. Boulder Road. The restaurant, Brothers
Three, is owned by the three Engles brothers and
they have submitted a petition to "show the needs
of the neighborhood." There were 279 signatures
on the petitions all in favor of a restaurant
liquor license at this site (formerly the Coal
Creek Restaurant & Lounge). Ferris confirmed
publication and notice of public hearing.
The applicants, Chris, Charlie and Tim
Engles, asked that Council approve the liquor
license as this is a long awaited family venture
and feel confident that the business will be a
success.
Szymanski asked how the "needs" was defined.
Rautenstraus stated that Louisville as a whole was
determined to be the "neighborhood" and in the
past other Council's have considered traffic where
restaurant liquor licenses are involved as people
frequenting or passing through Louisville may eat
at the establishment.
With no public comments, Mayor Pro Tem Mohr closed
the public hearing.
Szymanski moved that the liquor license for the
Brothers Three Restaurant be approved. Scarpella
seconded. By Roll Call Vote, the motion was
approved unanimously.
RESOLUTION #49 - ADOPTION OF 1987 BUDGET -
PUBLIC HEARING Rautenstraus read in its entirety Resolution #49,
"A Resolution adopting the budget for the City of
Louisville, Colorado, for the fiscal year
beginning on the first day of January, 1987,
estimating the amount of money necessary to be
raised by the tax levy based on the said budget so
adapted; estimating the amount of money to be
derived from other revenue sources; and setting
forth the total estimated expenditures for each
fund." Certification of notice of public hearing
was established.
Hundley thanked Council for the time they spent
working on the 1987 Budget and staff for their
efforts in its preparation particularly Sharon
Asti-Caranci, Finance Director.
5
