"I am pleased that we have an <br />opportunity to offer the citizens of Louisville <br />the opportunity to review the question of a use <br />tax to additionally supplement the capital <br />improvement fund and hope that the information <br />provided will show them the benefits that are <br />derived from it." <br />Mayor Fauson stated that this was one of the best <br />budget programs that he has gone through. He <br />especially thanked Sharon Asti-Caranci for her <br />efforts and information supplied to Council and <br />thanked Hundley and staff. "I think Council as a <br />group should be commended for the questions and <br />the work that they put into this...and I am very <br />happy to work with you on this budget." <br />Carnival stated that "with the current situation <br />that this Council is faced with, the lack of a tax <br />base, I feel the budget deals with providing <br />quality services and also has the ability to begin <br />to deal with some of the other projects that this <br />City needs to get taken care of under the capital <br />improvement project. It was a learning experience <br />for me and I appreciate the staff time and I think <br />it is a budget that deals with the City's needs." <br />Mayor Pro Tem Mohr stated that he too has learned <br />a lot in this process and "am please with moving <br />some of the accounts out of the General Fund and <br />into the Capital Improvement Funds beginning to <br />hone in on the whole issue of growth dependency <br />which I think has been over emphasized sometimes <br />in the past, but it can be a real problem. I <br />appreciate staff's time and also enjoyed working <br />with the rest of the Council on this." <br />Mayor Pro Tem Mohr closed the public hearing and <br />asked for a motion. <br />Scarpella moved that Resolution #49 be adopted for <br />the 1987 Budget. Szymanski seconded. By Roll <br />Call Vote Resolution #49 was adopted unanimously. <br />RESOLUTION #50 - ADOPTION OF 1987 <br />BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS Rautenstraus read in its entirety Resolution #50, <br />"A Resolution appropriating sums of money to the <br />various funds and spending agencies, in the amount <br />and for the purposes as set forth below, for the <br />City of Louisville, Colorado, f or the 1987 Budget <br />Year." <br /> <br />
