Louisville City Council for a trip she is taking to Nicaragua. Ms. Meredyth was not present to answer any questions or concerns of Council. Anderson stated that without the ability to gather additional information regarding this request, Anderson would recognize the receipt of the letter, but personally would not provide any endorsement for this trip. Anderson also thank the community for their participation in the election. Anderson thanked members of Council and all employees of the City for the hard work they have done this past year and wished them all a happy holiday and look forward to a good new year. Sackett attended Boulder County Solid Waste Task Force meeting where members discussed the Marshall Landfill's useful life which may end in a few years. Alternatives were identified and it appears there are more suitable sites outside the County, privately owned in Weld County. Sackett stated that DRCOG is looking for representatives to serve on State boards and Sackett felt he would be qualified to serve on the State Board of Health and has submitted his resume to serve on this board. Carnival stated that Homart Development Company purchased 600 calendars being sold by the Coaches Association to support the youth recreation program in the City of Louisville and presented the president of the association a check for $6,000. Carnival thanked Dave Stahl for the contribution. Mayor Fauson commended the Director of Public Safety and his department for handling a potentially very explosive situation that occurred last week. Mayor Fauson asked that Leesman convey this to his department and to those agencies who assisted. Mayor Fauson stated that the Louisville Jaycees donated a Christmas Tree to City Hall and thanked them for all the employees. Mayor Fauson wished everyone a Merry Christmas.
