VIII. Jessica brought up the idea of making an Instagram to promote YAB. The username suggestions were OhOhYAB, LouisvilleYouthAdvisory, LSVLYouth, LOCOYAB. YAB voted and the chosen username was LSVLYouth. On the account YAB will posting group photos, volunteering pics, project ads, pictures of trails and more. IX. Trek the Trails flyers - For Trek the Trail flyers Kaylix was the only who made a flyer and passed it around and the YAB decided it looked good. YAB also said to put images on it such as map, trail, trees, etc. Jessica reminded us that the Trek the Trail logo should definitely be on there. Bridgette suggested taking time to go out and take photos but Mandy pointed out we had access to many photos already as well. Kaylix said she would email Ember Bernell and Meredith Muth who are both on the City website. The flyer was read aloud and Caelis pointed out we needed times too and maybe a map to show that it was at the arboretum. Kaylix will also ask Ember for a map as well and what are the top 5 trails in Louisville that will intersect with the arboretum. X. Trek the Trails planning - raffle prizes, games, advertising - Next the YAB moved onto Trek the Trails planning. Tyler talked to Steve Wong owner of Tilt who said he would donate if he knew more information. YAB talked about the prize size and decided to go for bigger prizes yet still have a few little prizes. Finn said we should try to get an exact estimate of how many people were planning on going but many YAB members pointed out that would be quite hard. Mandy ballparked around 500 people from Touch a Truck would come to Trek the Trails. Kaylix said prices would help promote too. Danna said Instant Imprints would probably be willing to donate a really big price. Mandy volunteered to make a sign up genius so YAB members could continue to ask for donations. Mandy confirmed we got the blow up house and YAB are offering plenty of games. Mandy also asked for Kaylix to ask Ember if they could send over a ranger to maybe set up a booth with animal pelts, informational packets, etc. Kaylix asked Kaelan to go to Fireside Elementary and Caelis to go LES to promote Trek the Trails and Addie to go to Monarch K -8. Jessica and Bridgette have contacts at Louisville Middle School and Brooke suggested doing an announcement within high schools. Addie suggested flyers at the Rec Centers. Kaylix said we should start announcing event around early April after spring break and also end of May. Tyler suggested having a water station yet Mandy pointed out it would be hard to get water all the way down to the arboretum. Mandy said there was a drinking fountain at the skate park so citizens would just have to walk a short distance. Caelis suggested to make /give out stickers. YAB decided that they would need around 500 stickers and maybe they could be donated. Bridgette asked if this event would be ongoing or just a one time and YAB decided they would need to see attendance rates to decide that. Jessica let YAB know that a lot of the Louisville business would let us hang our flyers there. Mandy told us the bouncy house would generate a bit of noise and that there would be someone there to run it and supervise it.
