1„ City <br />of <br />Om Louisville <br />COLORADO SINCE 1878 <br />Open Space Advisory Board Meeting Minutes <br />Wednesday, March 9, 2016 <br />Louisville Public Library: First Floor Meeting Room <br />951 Spruce Street <br />7:00 pm <br />I. Call to Order- Helen called the meeting to order at 7:03 pm. <br />II. Roll Call - <br />Board Members Present: Helen Moshak, Mike Schantz, Christopher Smith, <br />Laura Scott Denton, Linda Smith, Spencer Guthrie, Graeme Patterson, Missy <br />Davis <br />Board Members Absent: none <br />City Council Members Present: none <br />Staff Members Present: Ember Brignull <br />III. Approval of Agenda - <br />Ember announced that the board would move the agenda discussion item <br />entitled "OSAB Sticker Voting for Favorite Features Commonly Found on Trail Websites <br />and Trail Applications" to a "homework" assignment for the board conducted over email. <br />Spencer moved to approve the agenda with the aforementioned change. Linda <br />seconded. The motion was passed unanimously. <br />IV. Approval of Minutes from the February Meeting - <br />Mike moved to approve the minutes as written. Linda seconded. The motion <br />was passed unanimously. <br />V. Staff Updates - <br />A. Open Space staff are busy gearing up for the summer. <br />B. Ember offered an update on the Open Space ranger position hiring process. <br />There were lots of good candidates who applied for this position. OSAB members Mike <br />and Laura sat in on the interviewing panels. The final interview process involved <br />multiple steps and interviews in person and over the phone. An offer has been made to <br />a candidate and staff is waiting on a final, formal acceptance. The position will start on <br />April 4th. <br />C. Staff is starting work on the CIP processes, so they will meet with Boulder <br />County and other stakeholders for Harney Lastoka CIP. Staff is also doing budget <br />amendments. The City is changing the budgeting process and Ember will update the <br />board when the process in known. <br />D. The Police Department has sent Open Space staff some historical data about <br />their dog off -leash ticketing. Staff is compiling the data to set baselines expectations for <br />the new ranger position. <br />E. There is an RFP out to the public for the aeration project proposal at Helca <br />Lake.
