Louisville City Council Meeting <br />April 15, 2003 <br />Page 13 of 14 <br /> <br />Brown agreed the citizens might receive a mixed message and suggested moving forward <br />as quickly as possible with the drought management plan. He noted it is important to be <br />cautious with the re-vegetation in consideration of last year's drought. <br /> <br />Van Pelt also voiced her concem with sending a mixed message to the citizens and <br />suggested the City adopt a volunteer water conservation program. Phare emphasized the <br />public would receive information on water conservation, the City's water supply and <br />possible restrictions. He stressed public announcements and education is part of the <br />City's drought management plan. <br /> <br />Sisk thanked Council member Levihn, Mayor Davidson, Tom Phare and Bill Simmons <br />for their work on the Water Committee. <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS ITEMS SUSPENDED <br /> <br />The City Manager requested the City Council convene an Executive Session for the <br />purpose of consultation with respect to property acquisition for Municipal purposes. <br /> <br />City Clerk Nancy Varra read Section 2.90.050 Public Statement of the Louisville <br />Municipal Code, which outlines what topics, may be discussed in an Executive Session. <br /> <br />MOTION: Davidson moved that Council go into Executive Session to discuss the items <br />outlined by the City Manager, and requested the Public Works Director also attend the <br />session, seconded by Levihn. All in favor. The meeting was suspended at 9:26 p.m. <br /> <br /> REGULAR BUSINESS ITEMS CONTINUED <br />REPORT BY CITY MANAGER FROM EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> <br />Davidson called the meeting back to order at 10:00 p.m. <br /> <br />City Manager Bill Simmons reported during the Executive Session he received Council <br />direction with respect to the acquisition of two properties for municipal purposes. <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />City Attorney Light referred to Resolution No. 11, Series 2003, regarding the CBT <br />purchase agreement with the Town of Superior, which was approved earlier. He stated it <br />is a standard resolution form approving the purchase contract, authorizing the Mayor to <br />negotiate the final changes and authorizing Staff to perform all the contract obligations. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br /> <br />Police Facility - Meeting with the architect for the Police Building on April 16. <br />Planning Commission will review the concept plan on May 13.
