Centric has expressed an initial <br />willingness to provide an extended warranty. <br />WATER TREATMENT PLANT <br />EQUIPMENT PURCHASE The purchase of "Trac Vac" equipment for the <br />City's Water Treatment Plant is needed to ensure <br />the plant can opE>_rate at the 5.8 mgd level needed <br />for this summer. The original amount approved by <br />Council for the underwater equipment was $30,000. <br />Now the control equipment needs to be installed in <br />order to complE~te these improvements. This <br />equipment costs $18,000 and is only available <br />through one supplier (Trac Vac) and staff <br />recommends the bici process be waived. <br />Mayor Meier moved that the City Administrator be <br />allowed to purchase the additional equipment for <br />the Water Treatment Plant in the amount of <br />$18,000. Luce seconded, and the motion was <br />carried unanimous]y. <br />Mayor Meier also moved that the bid process for <br />this item be waived as it is sole supplier <br />equipment. Luce seconded, and the motion was <br />approved unanimously. <br />SET DATE FOR <br />2ND COUNCIL <br />MEETING IN MARCH The Municipal Special Election was set for March <br />19, 1985, the date designated for the City <br />Council's regulax• meeting. Staff recommended <br />changing the meeting night to March 21, 1985. <br />Morris moved that the date for the Regular Council <br />Meeting be changed to March 21, 1985. Mayor Meier <br />seconded, and the motion was approved unanimously. <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS None. <br />ADJOURNMENT Morris moved that the meeting be adjourned, Mayor <br />Meier seconded, and the motion was carried <br />6-0, Fauson votir.~g no.
