The fire department has been contacted <br />and they feel the plans would not interfere with <br />emergency equipment traffic. <br />A gentleman from the Stuntman's' Association <br />related to counci:L the professionalism in their <br />shows including the safety of the. demonstration. <br />These have been ~rery popular and great crowd <br />pleasers. There will be a staged "bank robbery" <br />on Main Street (the' bank has approved the event). <br />Leary moved that Council tentatively approve the <br />Fall Festival events subject to staff's and the <br />police chief's reassurance that all the details <br />had been worked out. Luce seconded, and. the <br />motion was approved unanimously. Mayor Meier <br />asked that the details of the Festival be <br />submitted in writing for final approval. <br />ORDINANCE #855 WEEDS <br />PUBLIC HEARING Rautenstraus read by title only Ordinance #855, <br />"An Ordinance Amending Chapter 8.08 of the <br />Louisville Municipal Code Concerning the Cutting <br />of Weeks Within the City of Louisville." <br />Meier asked for any public comments either in <br />favor or opposition of Ordinance #844. <br />Luce moved that Ordinance #855 be approved. Leary <br />seconded. By Roll Call, Ordinance #855 was <br />approved by a vote of 4-2 with Meier and Fauson <br />voting no. <br />ANNEXATION REQUEST A letter was submitted to Council from D. A. <br />Mobley requesting annexation of property located <br />at the corner of 96th Street & Dillon Road and to <br />be zoned Industrial. The property adjoins the <br />Colorado Technical Center on the east side and Mr. <br />Mobley's intent is to sell approximately two acres <br />for development by a manufacturer in the So1_ar <br />Energy business. <br />Hundley suggested to Council that they look at the <br />whole concept of the Planned Urbanization Area for <br />Louisville, a concept developed by DRCOG and see <br />how consistent it may be with Council's thinking <br />regarding any commitment to provide service t_o <br />these areas since in fact at this time t:}-ais <br />particular parcel is not within the City`s <br />Urban Service Area. <br />Leary suggested that the City does have an <br />approved Urban Service Area and should continue <br />using it as a development tool. At such time in <br />the future that the DRCOG concept is completed, <br />4 <br />
