RECESS Mayor Meier called for a recess at 8:55 p.m. <br />CITY OF LOUISVILLE <br />CLEAN-UP DAY Mr. Glen Huey of 'Down and Country Disposal, Inc. <br />is co-sponsoring Louisville's Clean-up Day. There <br />will be two locat=ions where trash can be taken on <br />May 11th and May 18th from 8:00 am thru noon. <br />Seniors can call a number and have volunteers <br />collect refuse that will then be taken to one of <br />the sites. Larf;e trash dumpsters are being <br />provided by Town and Country Disposal and <br />volunteers are providing the manpower for this <br />endeavor. <br />FRANCHISE AGREEMENT <br />PUBLIC SERVICE Additional payments to the City of Louisville <br />resulted from automatic change in the Franchise <br />Agreement with Public Service. Public Service <br />estimated this amount to be approximately $26,000. <br />Additionally, the City will receive the higher <br />franchise fee for t:he remainder of 1985, estimated <br />at $10,000. <br />Mayor Meier moved that the City accept the money <br />from Public Service Company of Colorado. Luce <br />seconded and the motion passed unanimously. <br />LOUISVILLE NORTH <br />DRAINAGE The City has experienced major drainage problems <br />in the Hillsborough North Subdivision just east of <br />the railroad tracks. The City's insurance carrier <br />has paid damages twice to property owners in the <br />immediate areas as a result of these problems and <br />have indicated they will not pay for any further <br />damages to these property owners. As a result, <br />the Public Works staff has been working with Rocky <br />Mountain Consultants on design of drainage <br />improvements in this area. <br />Staff recommends that they proceed with a call for <br />bids if the affected property owners agree to <br />provide easement for these conveyance ditches. <br />The $30,000 estimated by the engineer for the <br />drainage improvements would be taken from the <br />unanticipated general fund revenue. <br />Mayor Meier moved. that staff proceed with this <br />project if the affected property owners agree to <br />provide easements for the conveyance ditches <br />designed to alleviate the problem if the project <br />does not go over the $30,000 estimated. Luce <br />seconded and the motion was approved unanimously. <br />7 <br />
