the City for certain expenses incurred by having <br />this event. A Special Liquor Permit for 3.2~ <br />alcohol is also being sought and will be conducted <br />by the Chamber of C'.ommerce. KIMN will also carry <br />a $6 million liability policy for the event. The <br />Chamber is talking with the American Legion to <br />coordinate efforts. Parking will be on Homart <br />property. In case of rain, a rain date has been <br />set. <br />SET PUBLIC HEARING Mayor Meier moved that the plans for this event be <br />FOR SPECIAL LIQUOR approved contingent on having all related items <br />PERMIT - CHAMBER OF worked out with the proper entities. Johnson <br />COMMERCE seconded. Also a Public Hearing for the Special <br />Liquor Permit was set for June 4, 1985. The <br />motions were approved unanimously. <br />HISTORICAL COMMISSION <br />PRESENTATION Ivan Urnovitz, Vice-chairman of the Louisville <br />Historical Commission made a presentation to <br />Council regarding the formation of an Historical <br />Society. A detailed outline was given to Council <br />for their input regarding the structure of the <br />society. Mayor Meier suggested that the society <br />would legally have to be separate from the <br />Commission since there would be a matter of the <br />collection of dues in becoming a society member. <br />Leary suggested that the Commission could be <br />replaced by a society partially made up of <br />appointed members and possibly others elected <br />through the society membership. Urnovitz thanked <br />Council for their input and will bring back a <br />revised proposal to Council next month. <br />BOULDER COUNTY ELDERLY <br />HOUSING PRESENTATION The gentleman who was to make the presentation was <br />not in attendance. <br />PUBLIC HEARING - LIQUOR LICENSE <br />HOWARDS COAL CREEK RESTAURANT <br />AND LOUNGE <br />Joss informed Council that proper notice was given <br />for the Public Hearing for this Liquor License <br />Application for Howards Coal Creek Restaurant and <br />Lounge and the application and documents were in <br />order including the payment of all fees. Mayor <br />Meier opened the Public Hearing and asked for <br />public comments. None. Cussen asked if the <br />building had been brought up to code and the <br />owners of the establishment responded that they <br />were working with the Building Department.
