Purchase - Ko:hs
E. Approval of Liquor License Renewal - Pasquales
F. Approval of Liquor License Renewal -
Black Diamond
G. Approval of Purchase of Pumps - Arvada
Pump Co.
H. Approval of P<~y Request #6 - Harper Lake -
Park Constructtion
I. Approval of Pay Request #5 - Water Treatment
Plant - Williams Concrete Construction Co.
PUBLIC COMMENTS None.
CONFIDENTIALITY This item was introduced by Mayor Meier and
referenced the Executive Session at the previous
City Council Meeting. An article in a local
newspaper stated that a person wishing to remain
anonymous quoted t:he possible price for open space
land that the City and County have been
negotiatingover a long period of time. This
breach could poter.~tially cost the citizens of this
City several hundred thousand dollars, according
to Mayor Meier. "'It states in the statues and in
the oath as a Councilmember to certain fiduciary
responsibilities t:o the city and taxpayers of this
community." "This was not taken in regard." "I
feel this is a fair warning to whoever did this
....and caution he or she that this never ever
happen again."
Luce seconded the essence of Mayor Meier's
statement. Luce: "I found the situation
deplorable in terms of a Councilperson's behavior
as it impacts the community. I find it disturbing
that the same sort. of mentality that would try to
use unsubstantiated and unfounded claims regarding
secret meetings and the sort of behavior that
would put someone's personal well being and their
ego above the City welfare reflects poorly on that
individual. In this particular issue, it was
something that the. citizens voted on and has been
decided and regardless of whether that occurred or
not, it was a :behavior that I think will
negatively reflect on the taxpayers of this
community. I would hope that that individual
would reflect on i~his seriously and consider the
community's well being and not the individual's
sense of what he or she may believe or feel at the
moment and hope that the issue would never come up
again."
Leary made a third to the essence of the comments
of Mayor Meier and Luce.
Johnson made a fourth to the above.
2
