It
will not be sold and does not require State
approval. Luce seconded the motion. Unanimous.
Western Slope Gas Company (now known as
WestGas) currently has an easement for
transmission and a gas regulating station in
Parcel S3 of the Homart Development. They need
additional space of approximately 8,000 sq. ft.,
essentially one :jingle family residential lot.
They have no plans at the moment to do anything
with it but do want it as a potential future
expansion for a structure approximately 30' x 40'
to house regulatory devices. The property would
be within the S3 designated open space but because
of updated calculations made during the transfer
of the property from Homart to the City, there
wi 1 1 actua 1 ly be an increase in open space from
what was previously calculated. Whether ownership
is transferred or not, WestGas would still be
required to go through a Special Review Use
hearing process to put any improvements on the
property.
Mayor Meier moved that staff continue negotiations
with Homart and WestGas for a transfer of
ownership for this property. Luce seconded for
discussion.
Luce asked if this implied there would be a
Special Review l:Jse. Wanush confirmed. An
affirmative vote would show Council's willingness
to consider this acid would go through due process.
Wanush stated that there are no plans at this time
to construct a structure, but when proposed, it
would then go through Special Review Use.
The motion was passed unanimously.
3
