Eberl proposes that the type of use for Rock Creek Plaza may possibly include a beauty shop, sewing and vacuum shop, bicycle shop, florist, etc., although no leases have been signed at this point. There will be 5-10 service oriented businesses in the plaza. Resolution #13, Series 1985, "A Resolution Approving Final Subdivision Plat for Rock Creek Plaza", was read in its entirety by Rautenstraus. Mayor Meier moved that Resolution #13 be adopted. Johnson seconded. Unanimous. AWARD BID - HARPER LAKE PUMP STATION Phare related to Council that the Pump House at Harper Lake was let out for bid and on Tuesday, June 25, 1985. They bid opening revealed Concrete Structures, Inc. of Boulder, Colorado, was the low bidder at $278,800.00, and staff recommends that Concrete Structures, Inc. be awarded the bid. The building will be nearly all underground with the entrance beinc_f brick. Trees and bushes wi 11 be planted along this east entrance. The pumps are very quiet an~i wi 1 1 not be heard more than a few feet away from the structure. Mayor Meier moved that the $278,800 bid be awarded to Concrete Structures, Inc. Morris seconded. Unanimous. AWARD BID CITY SHOPS Hundley conveyed to Council that bids were opened on Friday, June 28,. 1985, and staff found the bids to be extremely high, with the low bid over $650,000 (well beyond the scope planned for this project). Staff recommends that the bids be rejected and the scope of the project be redesigned so as not to exceed the $500,000 in the budget earmarked for this project. Phare related that some of the interior finish work and paving may need to be cut in order to keep the project at the target amount. Hundley explained. that the amount lost in the lease-purchase agreement would be $2,800. Yet, given the difference between the estimate and the low bid, staff fee:Ls it advisable to rebid. 4
