and no building pE~rmits would be issued until the <br />easement is provided. <br />Eberl proposes that the type of use for Rock Creek <br />Plaza may possibly include a beauty shop, sewing <br />and vacuum shop, bicycle shop, florist, etc., <br />although no leases have been signed at this point. <br />There will be 5-10 service oriented businesses in <br />the plaza. <br />Resolution #13, Series 1985, "A Resolution <br />Approving Final Subdivision Plat for Rock Creek <br />Plaza", was read in its entirety by Rautenstraus. <br />Mayor Meier moved that Resolution #13 be adopted. <br />Johnson seconded. Unanimous. <br />AWARD BID - HARPER LAKE <br />PUMP STATION Phare related to Council that the Pump House at <br />Harper Lake was let out for bid and on Tuesday, <br />June 25, 1985. They bid opening revealed Concrete <br />Structures, Inc. of Boulder, Colorado, was the <br />low bidder at $278,800.00, and staff recommends <br />that Concrete Structures, Inc. be awarded the bid. <br />The building will be nearly all underground with <br />the entrance beinc_f brick. Trees and bushes wi 11 <br />be planted along this east entrance. The pumps <br />are very quiet an~i wi 1 1 not be heard more than a <br />few feet away from the structure. <br />Mayor Meier moved that the $278,800 bid be awarded <br />to Concrete Structures, Inc. Morris seconded. <br />Unanimous. <br />AWARD BID <br />CITY SHOPS Hundley conveyed to Council that bids were opened <br />on Friday, June 28,. 1985, and staff found the bids <br />to be extremely high, with the low bid over <br />$650,000 (well beyond the scope planned for this <br />project). Staff recommends that the bids be <br />rejected and the scope of the project be <br />redesigned so as not to exceed the $500,000 in the <br />budget earmarked for this project. <br />Phare related that some of the interior finish <br />work and paving may need to be cut in order to <br />keep the project at the target amount. <br />Hundley explained. that the amount lost in the <br />lease-purchase agreement would be $2,800. Yet, <br />given the difference between the estimate and the <br />low bid, staff fee:Ls it advisable to rebid. <br />4 <br />
