Although Luce <br />supports the motion to refer the request, he does <br />not want it taker.- as a guarantee of anything more <br />than a willingness to take an open and objective <br />look at the request subjected to the process. <br />In Fauson's opinion the water rights involved make <br />this a good annexation request and is pleased that <br />Council is willing to refer it to the Planning <br />Commission . <br />The motion way; passed 5-0-1 with Johnson <br />abstaining. <br />AWARD BID - MARSHALL <br />LAKE SLIDE GATE Rocky Mountain Cc>nsultants have solicited bids on <br />the mechanical slide gate for the Marshall Lake <br />Slide Gate Project. There was only one vendor, <br />Rodney Hunt Company, who quoted a complete gate as <br />requested in the proposals, according to Phare. <br />Construction of this gate could begin as early as <br />November, 1985. Staff recommends that the bid be <br />awarded to Rodney Hunt Company for the amount of <br />$37,627. Council unanimously awarded the bid to <br />Rodney Hunt Company for the Marshall Lake Slide <br />Gate. <br />PAY REQUEST & CHANGE <br />ORDERS FOR THE WATER <br />TREATMENT PLANT Phare presented to Council the Pay Estimate and <br />the Change Orders for the Water Treatment Plant. <br />During construction of the Water Treatment Plant <br />the contractor encountered changed conditions <br />and/or was requested to change scope of work. <br />These alterations have resulted in a net contract <br />increase as outlined on the attached <br />correspondence from Rocky Mountain Consultants. <br />In conjunction with the normal progress payment <br />request, the contractor is requesting payment for <br />additional work undertaken as outlined in the <br />change orders numbered 4 and 5. <br />Phare related to Council that the warranty is for <br />one year for all equipment and workmanship. Phare <br />also answered several concerns voiced by Luce with <br />regard to reliability of operations and operators <br />learning the :new technology involved in <br />operations. <br />Mayor Meier movE~d that Pay Request #5 and Change <br />#5 and #6 be approved.
