Approve Harper Lake Fence <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS Mr. Tom McAvinew, 229 Lois Drive, addressed <br />several situations in his neighborhood ranging <br />from speeding and running stop signs on Hoover <br />Avenue and dog owners walking dogs and leaving dog <br />droppings on private property. An open area <br />directly behind hi.s residence has not been <br />finished leaving dirt along his fence line. Mr. <br />McAvinew contents that the area was a <br />responsibility of Tom Suitts, but the City has <br />drawn upon Suitts bond and as of yet staff has not <br />followed through. Also, drainage through the <br />trickle channel on this same property is not <br />moving properly, according to Mr. McAvinew. <br />Staff was directed by Council to complete this <br />work as soon as possible. <br />APPOINTMENT TO BOARD OF <br />APPEALS AND ADJUSTMENTS Mayor Meier related to Council that one of the <br />candidates for the Board of Appeals and <br />Adjustments withdrew her name leaving two <br />applicants for the two seats. Cussen moved that <br />Kevin Morrissey and Daniel Swires be appointed to <br />the Board of Appeals and Adjustments. Mr. Swires <br />will serve as a regular member (term expiring <br />1/86) and Mr. Morrissey will serve as an associate <br />(term expiring 1/87). Luce seconded. Unanimous. <br />APPOINTMENT TO CITIZEN ADVISORY <br />BOARD ON CRIMINAL JUSTICE <br />Council asked that Mr. Lee Farmer, the sole <br />applicant to this board, be invited to the next <br />Council meeting for an interview. Mayor Meier <br />moved that the appointment to this board be <br />postponed until Mr. Farmer can meet with Council. <br />Luce seconded.
